Heidi
Leitzke graduated with an MFA in painting from Western Carolina University in 2006. She also
studied at the Chautauqua Institute School of Art and American University’s
Art in Italy program. She earned
a BA in Fine Arts from Anderson University
in 2002.
She has
exhibited in New York in group shows at Denise Bibro Fine
Art and the Bowery Gallery. Recently, Leitzke showed works on paper in a two-person show at Gross Mc Cleaf Gallery and paintings
at Bridgette Mayer Gallery, both in Philadelphia, PA.
In May 2010, she had a solo show entitled “Above and Below” at Isadore Gallery in Lancaster, PA. In
2008 her work was included in Inquiry; Five Painting Practices at Gross Mc Cleaf Gallery. Leitzke’s work has been
included in numerous group and solo shows in Pennsylvania, Virginia,
Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia,
and Connecticut.
Leitzke
has taught at the Chautauqua Institute and Drexel University. Leitzke has been working as Gallery Director and Adjunct Instructor
at Pennsylvania College
of Art & Design since 2006. She lives and works in Lancaster,
PA.
